Thailand Gazettes Regulation Exempting Risk Compensation Paid to Combat Coronavirus

The Thai Official Gazette June 25 published Ministerial Regulation No. 366, providing an individual income tax exemption for risk compensation the Ministry of Health paid to officials and third parties to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in 2019. The exemption applies to compensation paid for surveillance, prevention, control, investigation, and medical treatment related to the pandemic. The regulation applies to income assessed for tax year 2020. [Thailand, Official Gazette, 06/25/20]
