The government of Thailand has proposed a series of tax measures designed to lessen the impact of coronavirus on the tourism sector.
Coronavirus, which originated in nearby China, has killed more than 400 people and infected many thousands more. Thailand is worried that consumer concerns, and measures to contain the virus such as flight restrictions, could affect tourism.
Ministry of Finance guidance released Tuesday contains three key ameliorative measures:
