Estonia is positive about a revised plan to reform the EU’s value-added tax system, but says some details still need to be ironed out to finalize the deal.
The country is currently the only one opposing the bill, known as VAT in the Digital Age, or ViDA. The bill introduces e-invoicing and single VAT registration, promising to tackle VAT fraud, digitize tax systems and make life easier for businesses and tax administrations.
