A group of nongovernmental organizations is calling for a conflict-of-interest inquiry into the departing OECD tax chief’s next career move.
Pascal Saint-Amans is leaving his role as director of the OECD’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration at the end of the month, and becoming a partner at Brunswick, which describes itself a strategic advisory firm, starting Nov. 1.
In Saint-Amans’ new role he “will advise clients worldwide on policy and regulatory matters, including tax-related issues,” Brunswick said in a Sept. 19 statement announcing the appointment.
