Treasury May Break Up Tax Law Guidance Projects in Race to Finish

The Treasury Department may lean on smaller, more focused guidance projects as it tries to finish regulations tied to the 2017 tax law.

The IRS and Treasury are focusing on getting out key guidance as quickly as possible, according to Laura Williams, branch chief at branch 4 at the IRS Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International). Williams spoke Saturday at and American Bar Association conference in Boca Raton, Fla.
