Treasury Names Jim Wang Acting International Tax Counsel

Aug. 20, 2025, 5:21 PM UTC

Jim Wang has been appointed the Treasury Department’s new acting international tax counsel.

He announced the move in a post Wednesday on his LinkedIn page. Lindsay Kitzinger previously had the tax counsel role.

Wang has been Treasury’s deputy international tax counsel since 2023. Before that, he was an attorney-adviser in Treasury’s Office of Tax Policy and an associate at Jones Day law firm.

The international tax counsel leads the attorneys who provide legal advice and analysis for Treasury officials on international tax issues, including legislation, regulations, and treaties.

Treasury didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
