The Trinidadian and Tobagonian Official Gazette Dec. 22 published Legal Notice No. 390, providing notice of the minimum wages amendment order. The order includes measures: 1) increasing the minimum hourly wage to 20.50 Trinidad and Tobago dollars (US$3.01) from 17.50 dollars (US$2.57); 2) setting the minimum daily wage at 164 dollars (US$24.07) for an eight-hour work day; 3) setting the minimum weekly wage at 820 dollars (US$120.37) for a 40-hour work week; and 4) setting the minimum monthly wage at 3,553 dollars (US$521.54), based on an average of 173 work hours per month.
