Tunisia Parliament Considers 2026 Finance Bill

The Tunisian Parliament (Majlis Nuwwab ash-Sha’b) Oct. 14 accepted for consideration Bill No. 14, the 2026 Finance Bill. The bill includes measures to: 1) approve increases in public and private wages and salaries, and in pensions, for 2026 through 2028; 2) modify provisions concerning profits and income approved for calculating corporate and individual income tax, for declarations due for 2023 through 2027; 3) specify stamp duty rates, including 20,000 dinars (US$6,813) for specification books not subject to special stamp duty; 4) exempt VAT on inputs for packaging locally produced olive oil; 5) reduce, to 7 percent, VAT on electric vehicle ...
