U.K. Tax Office Allowed to Bring Fraud Case Against GE

The U.K. tax authority has won a High Court battle to have its allegations of fraud against GE Group heard by a tax court.

The court did not express an opinion over whether there was any actual fraud committed, but it said the allegation “that GE failed to disclose the complete picture, and that it did so deliberately – will be permitted to go to trial” in its ruling., which is dated July 31 and was released Aug. 1.
