The UK tax authority is set to shut its online company tax return filing services from March 2026.
Companies must instead use commercial software to file their tax return and accounts from April 1, 2026, His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs announced Thursday.
It said the online tax filing service to support small, unrepresented businesses with simple tax affairs “does not meet modern digital standards, or recent changes to UK company law.”
HMRC provided a list of recognized suppliers and software that companies should use.
