The UK will adopt a more flexible approach to tax consultations by spreading out policy documents throughout the year, the government announced Thursday.
Tax professionals have found it burdensome to respond to multiple consultations on draft legislation published at the same point in the policymaking cycle. In response, the UK government will now “take a more agile approach”, the Treasury said in a paper.
This will include “publishing any supporting documents flexibly following announcement” and taking a “more flexible approach to technical consultation on draft legislation,” the paper said.
