Ukraine MOF Announces Termination of DTA With Belarus Due to War

The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance Oct. 4 announced the cabinet approval of a draft bill terminating the DTA with Belarus, signed Dec. 24, 1993, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The draft bill includes measures that would: 1) establish a 15 percent tax rate on the income of Belarusian residents from Ukrainian sources; 2) terminate the tax credit in Ukraine for taxes paid in Belarus by Ukrainian residents; and 3) exempt Ukraine from its obligation to exchange tax information with Belarus.
