Ukraine Parliament Considers Bill on Temporary VAT Exemption for Ground-Based Robotic Systems Due to War

The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) May 19 accepted for consideration Bill No. 15259, to temporarily exempt VAT on supplies of ground-based robotic systems due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The bill includes measures to: 1) exempt, until the termination or cancellation of martial law in the country, supplies of specified ground-based unmanned systems classified under commodity groups for nuclear, electrical, recording, and television machinery and equipment, land transport excluding rail, optical, photographic, cinematographic, medical, and surgical equipment, and weapons and ammunition; 2) require that the supplies be carried out under government contracts for defense procurement; and 3) require that the ...
