Ukraine Parliament Considers Bill To Amend Tax Rules Due to Coronavirus

The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) April 7 accepted for consideration a bill to amend the tax rules due to the coronavirus pandemic. The bill includes measures to: 1) increase to 27 percent the individual income tax rate for incomes exceeding 10 times the minimum wage; 2) reduce to 9 percent from 18 percent the individual rate for incomes below five times the minimum wage; 3) exempt single taxpayers of the first and second groups from single tax payments; 4) reduce to 9 percent from 18 percent the corporate income tax rate for small businesses through Dec. 31; 5) maintain the ...
