Ukraine Parliament Considers Bill to Amend Various Tax Measures

The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) Oct. 31 accepted for consideration Bill No. 14167, to amend various tax measures. The bill includes measures to: 1) simplify inspections for entrepreneurs who aren’t VAT payers by limiting audits to cash postings using specified accounting software or methods to record income, and eliminating additional requirements for maintaining cash books, conducting cash inventories, and setting cash limits; 2) authorize officials to conduct a control settlement operation before an inspection; 3) change to 400 times the minimum wage from 1 million hryvnias (US$23,819) the mandatory VAT registration threshold for small businesses; and 4) increase to 1,300 ...
