Ukraine Parliament Considers Bill to Extend VAT Exemption on Specified Military Equipment Imports Due to War

The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) Sept. 20 accepted for consideration Bill No. 10078, to extend the VAT exemption on imports of unmanned aerial vehicles and certain other goods during martial law, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The bill includes measures to: 1) extend the VAT exemption to the entire period of martial law; and 2) repeal the provision imposing an expiration date of Jan. 1, 2024.
