Ukraine Parliament Considers Bill to Ratify Protocol to 1997 DTA With Austria

The Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) Oct. 12 accepted for consideration Bill No. 0073, to ratify a protocol to the 1997 DTA with Austria, signed on June 15. The protocol includes measures to increase the: 1) dividend tax rate to 15 percent from 10 percent; 2) interest tax rate to 5 percent from 2 percent; and 3) royalty tax rate to 5 percent from zero percent for the use of copyright in scientific works and patents, and to 10 percent from 5 percent for the use of copyright in literary works or artwork.
