Ukraine President Signs Law Exempting VAT on Specified Military Equipment Imports Due to War

The Ukrainian President Feb. 22 signed Law No. 2906-IX, exempting VAT on imports of specified military equipment during martial law, or until Jan. 1, 2024 at the latest, due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The law includes measures: 1) exempting VAT on imports of unmanned aerial vehicles, aircrafts, optical and collimator sights, night vision sights, thermal imaging sights, thermal imaging binoculars and monoculars, and no-vision devices; and 2) excluding goods from the exemption if imported from Russia or other specified countries.
