The Emirati Ministry of Finance April 21 announced, in English, the launch of a new online system that allows businesses to exchange e-invoices between suppliers and customers using approved channels. The announcement includes that: 1) businesses can now use the Federal Tax Authority’s EmaraTax system to choose their preferred accredited service provider (ASP); 2) businesses must enter into a commercial agreement with an ASP to complete the onboarding process and exchange e-invoices; and 3) the system’s tax reporting function is scheduled to go live before the July pilot phase.
