The United Kingdom HM Treasury Dec. 3 announced increases in the hourly national living wage and national minimum wage rates. The announcement includes increases to: 1) 12.71 British pounds (US$16.97) per hour from 12.21 pounds (US$16.30), in the national living wage rate for qualifying workers 21 years of age or older; 2) 10.85 pounds (US$14.48) per hour from 10 pounds (US$13.35), in the national minimum wage rate for workers between 18 to 20 years of age; and 3) 8 pounds (US$10.68) per hour from 7.55 pounds (US$10.08), in the national minimum wage rate for individuals between 16 to 17 years ...
