Uruguay Tax Agency Issues Resolution Extending Private Company, VAT Payment Deadlines Due to Coronavirus

The Uruguayan General Directorate of Taxation March 20 issued a resolution extending the deadline to March 27 for private company tax payments due between March 23 to March 26 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The deadline extension doesn’t apply to public companies. The tax agency also extended minimum VAT payments by one month for payments due in February and March 2020, allowing a six-month interest free installment plan from May 2020.
