The Utah State Tax Commission announced that effective April 1, the town of Koosharem in Sevier County will impose a 1 percent municipality transient room tax on all amounts charged by lodging providers for short-term public accommodations. This new tax will increase the total transient room tax in Koosharem to 6.57 percent, and lodging providers must collect this additional tax along with other applicable state and local taxes.
