Uzbekistan Gazettes Decree Implementing 2023 State Budget Measures

The Uzbek Official Gazette Jan. 1 published Presidential Decree No. PP-471/2022, implementing tax measures included in the 2023 state budget. The decree includes measures: 1) setting rates of 10 percent for the mineral resource use for gold, and 15 percent for palladium, silver, and copper; 2) establishing a tax rate at 15 percent for oil, natural gas, and gas condensate; 3) setting property tax calculation methods for taxpayers owning immovable housing stock and land plots; and 4) exempting VAT on various agricultural goods and services.
