Uzbekistan Gazettes Resolution Amending List of Imported, VAT-Exempt Technological Equipment

The Uzbek Official Gazette Sept. 19 published Resolution No. 482, amending the list of technological equipment exempt from VAT on import that lacks equivalents made in Uzbekistan. The resolution is intended to ensure the continuity of supplies of industrial raw material. The resolution includes measures: 1) amending the list to include items such as specified generators, lifts and conveyors, pumps, compressors, and greenhouse equipment and supplies; and 2) excluding equipment from the exemption if manufactured more than three years ago.
