Venezuela’s government extended a decree that exonerates thousands of items from paying import, customs and value-added taxes until April 30, 2021, according to Official Gazette 6,608 dated Dec. 29.
- The exemption covers 3,348 items ranging from food and basic goods to industrial inputs, slightly up from 3,289 in the previous decree
- The new decree includes additional lists with 442 items for the automotive sector and 721 products for the govt’s Covid-19 response
