Vietnam Extends VAT Reduction Until End-2026, VnExpress Says

Vietnam to extend value-added tax cut of 2 percentage points to 8% in some sectors until the end of next year, news website VnExpress reported, citing a resolution passed by National Assembly Tuesday.

  • Sectors such as gasoline, information technology services, chemical products will fall under the resolution
  • The reduction won’t apply to industries such as telecommunications, finance and banking, securities, insurance, real estate business and metal products
