The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance April 25 clarified the May 4 deadline for filing 2021 income tax returns for individuals whose additional tax amount due after the final settlement is over 50,000 Vietnamese dongs (US$2.18). The announcement further includes: 1) that no penalty will be imposed on late tax return filing for individuals with a tax refund claim; and 2) information on tax return filing via the online portal and by post.
