Vietnam Proposes to Extend VAT, Corporate, Individual Income Tax Payment Deadlines

The Vietnamese Government March 28 announced a proposal to extend VAT, and corporate and individual income tax deadlines due to the coronavirus pandemic. The proposal includes: 1) a six-month extension for March, April, May, and Q1 2022 VAT; 2) a five-month extension for June and Q2 2022 VAT; 3) a four-month extension for July 2022 VAT; 4) a three-month extension for August 2022 VAT and Q1 and Q2 2022 temporarily paid corporate income taxes; 5) the Dec. 31 deadline for individuals and small businesses to pay VAT; and 6) a six-month extension for the first installments of land and water ...
