April 13, 2026, 9:16 PM UTC

The Wisconsin Governor signed a law concerning the historic rehabilitation tax credit. The law includes: 1) providing that any credit claimed for Wisconsin purposes is to be claimed at the same time as for federal purposes, regardless of whether the claimant claims the credit for federal purposes; 2) replacing the $3.5 million lifetime per-parcel credit limit with a 15-year per-parcel credit limit; and 3) proving that the calculation of the per-parcel credit limit includes amounts certified as of July 1, 2018. The law took effect on April 10. [A.B. 375, enacted 04/08/26]
