Zimbabwe Beer Maker’s Disputed Tax Bill Rises to $73 Million

Zimbabwean beer maker Delta Corp.’s disputed tax bill has risen to $73 million as the local bottler of Coca-Cola Co. continues its legal bid to pay these levies in local currency.

The local franchisee of Anheuser-Busch InBev NV’s Castle Lite beer received additional assessments in November, adding to those in 2022, Delta said Thursday in a trading update for the quarter to Dec. 31. That includes principal tax, penalties and interest for the period 2019 to 2022.
