Alabama Amends Penalty for Failure to Affix Tobacco Products Stamps

The Alabama Governor signed a law that includes, for persons failing to properly affix required stamps to any tobacco products, adding a minimum penalty of $250 per article on the second violation and updating the maximum $500 penalty per article to include the third and subsequent violations. The law takes effect Oct. 1. [S.B. 134, enacted 02/11/26]
