Alabama DOR Announces Discontinuation of Sales Tax Collection, Administration Services for City of Leeds

The Alabama Department of Revenue (DOR) June 22 announced the discontinuation of its services for the administration and collection of the sales and use tax for the City of Leeds. The governing body of the town adopted a resolution discontinuing the services rendered by the DOR effective July 1. The DOR also provides the name and address of the new agency that will administer the taxes for the period ending July 31, which are due on or before Aug. 22.
