The Alabama Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 23 issued a notice on changes to filing Jefferson County sales and use taxes through the filing system. Effective Jan. 1, 2025, the Jefferson County Special Revenue tax locality code 7337 will be eliminated and combined with the Jefferson County tax locality code 7037 rates, simplifying the filing process.
