Alabama DOR Proposes Rule Amending Extension of Time to File Business Privilege Tax Returns

The Alabama Department of Revenue (DOR) June 28 proposed a rule amending the rule on the extension of time to file business privilege tax (BPT) returns. The proposal clarifies that BPT returns for members of a financial institution group will be granted an automatic extension consistent with the extension allowed for the taxpayer’s corresponding Federal Income Tax Return plus one month.
