Alabama Enacts Charter School Finance Act for Bond Issuance, Loans

The Alabama Legislature has enacted the Alabama Charter School Finance Authority Act, establishing a public body corporate to issue bonds for making financing loans to state charter educational institutions to finance and refinance project costs for facilities and infrastructure. The law exempts all property and income of the authority, all bonds issued by the authority, the income from such bonds or from any other sources, the interest and other profits from such bonds from tax.
