Alabama Exempts Precision Ocular from Sales, Use Tax

The Alabama Legislature has enacted Senate Bill 190 exempting Precision Ocular from state sales and use taxes. The law also allows counties and municipalities to exempt Precision Ocular from local sales and use taxes upon approval. The exemption shall run from Oct. 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2031, unless extended by legislative action. The law takes effect on Sept. 1. [S.B. 190, enacted 04/17/26]
