The Alabama Legislature passed a law amending provisions of the Alabama code relating to enforcement of municipal liens and tax liens against real property in Class 2 cities. The law authorizes Class 2 municipalities to enter property on which it holds a tax lien certificate to make repairs and provides that the cost of repairs and alterations shall not be included in the price of redemption. It also authorizes a tax collecting official to sell a tax lien under certain circumstances [S.B. 256, enacted 05/14/25]
