The Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) Sept. 30 announced that the minimum wage rate will increase to 50,000 Albanian leks (US$605.86), starting in 2026. The announcement also includes that the Ministry of Economy and Innovation states that: 1) the medium-term goal is for the average wage to reach 1,000 euros (US$1,173) within the next four years; and 2) there will be no increase in taxes or levies for the first 18 months after the minimum wage rate increase takes effect.
