The Arizona Governor July 6 signed a law providing property tax exemptions to residents with disabilities. The law includes measures: 1) exempting the property of resident veterans with service or nonservice-connected disabilities, and others with total and permanent disabilities, from property tax; 2) requiring residents with such disabilities to file an affidavit with the county assessor to establish their exemption eligibility; 3) specifying the maximum allowable amount of the exemptions, even if the individuals are eligible for an exemption in more than one category; and 4) updating the exemption amount to $207,366 for property used in a trade or business ...
