The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration has issued retailer instructions for the annual sales tax holiday. The 2026 Arkansas sales tax holiday begin on Aug. 1 at 12:01 AM and will continue through Sunday, Aug. 2 at 11:59 PM. State and local sales tax will not be collected during this 48-hour period on the sale of clothing and footwear less than $100 per item, on clothing accessories and equipment if the sales price is less than $50 per item, and on school supplies.
