The Arkansas Governor March 2 signed a law concerning the management and sale of tax-delinquent lands by the Commissioner of State Land. The law includes measures: 1) standardizing the use of the term “parcel;” 2) specifying a tax delinquent parcel won’t be transmitted by certification to the commissioner without the County Assessor’s verification; 3) specifying that in the event the commissioner determines the property tax delinquent parcel is incorrectly certified for failure to meet the requirements, the commissioner shall return the tax-delinquent parcel with the invalid certification to the county; and 4) repealing provisions relating to the reassessment of parcels ...
