Best Buy Sales Tax Class Urges Texas High Court to Review Case

A certified class of thousands of Best Buy Co. customers is asking the Texas Supreme Court to review its case seeking refunds of overpaid sales tax.

An appeals court decision upholding dismissal of the case “has jeopardized over $11 million of refund claims for thousands of customers who legitimately obtained rebates and should long ago have been compensated for the sales taxes they paid,” the class said in a petition for review filed Thursday.
