The Trump administration continues to release additional information about its fiscal 2026 budget request to Congress as lawmakers prepare to consider annual appropriations bills.
Several departments and agencies released their spending plans this week, including the Energy, State, and Treasury departments, building on the “skinny budget” released in early May and providing more context into the White House’s plan to cut nondefense discretionary spending by about 17%.
The materials detail the administration’s push to hike immigration funding, slash foreign aid and nutrition assistance, and merge health agencies into a new “Administration for a Healthy America.”
