California BOE Publishes Guidelines on Low-Income Housing Tax Exemption

The California State Board of Equalization (BOE) published a guidance on the eligibility for the property tax exemption on leased property used exclusively for low-income rental housing for the 2026-27 fiscal year. The notice includes the income limits published by the California Department of Housing and Community Development to be used for determining exemption eligibility, effective for the Jan. 1, 2026.
