California CDTFA Announces New Local Sales and Use Tax Rate Changes Operative July 1

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration May 1 announced new local sales and use tax rate changes, effective July 1. The tax rate changes apply only within the listed city or county limits. The new tax rate for: 1) the city of Glendora is 10.25 percent; 2) San Mateo County is 9.25 percent; 3) the cities of Belmont, East Palo Alto, Redwood City, and South San Francisco is 9.75 percent; and 4) the cities of Burlingame and San Mateo is 9.5 percent.
