California CDTFA Issues Revised Privacy Notice on Use of Sales, Excise Taxpayers’ Information

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) May 1 issued a notice concerning the privacy of information that taxpayers share with the CDTFA while applying for their permit, certificate, license or renewal, relief request, payment plan, offer in compromise, settlement, or other applications, for sales and use and excise tax purposes. The CDTFA requests information from taxpayers that is either required by law or is used for its registration records.
