California CDTFA Issues Special Notice Regarding Excise Tax Rate Change for Fuel Tax Licensees

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration June 1 issued a special notice on the excise tax rate change for International Fuel Tax Agreement and Interstate User Diesel Fuel Tax Licensees. Effective July 1, the tax rate taxpayers must report and pay with their quarterly tax return for diesel fuel purchased outside the state and used in the state will increase from 70.0 cents to 76.0 cents per gallon.
