The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) Jan. 13 announced that it is offering tax relief to businesses impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires, automatically extending the Jan. 31 sales and use tax filing deadline for Los Angeles County taxpayers until April 30. The CDTFA is also providing additional relief such as extensions for other tax programs, relief from interest and penalties, flexible payment plans, and assistance with updating account information and obtaining copies of tax records for affected businesses beyond Los Angeles County upon request.
