California CDTFA Publishes Information on Seller’s Permits, Rights, Responsibilities Under Sales Tax Law

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) Sept. 1 published information regarding seller’s permits and the rights and responsibilities of seller’s permit holders under the state sales and use tax laws. The publication includes information on: 1) obtaining a seller’s permit; 2) applying taxes to sales and purchases; 3) reporting taxes; 4) buying, selling, or discontinuing a business; and 5) using a resale certificate and keeping records.
