California CDTFA Releases Instructions for CDTFA-401-GS, State, Local, and District Sales and Use Tax Return

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) July 1 released instructions for completing Form CDTFA-401-GS, State, Local, and District Sales and Use Tax Return. The CDTFA provides information on: 1) the online filing of returns; 2) payment options available to taxpayers; 3) the mandatory filing of returns regardless of a taxpayer’s tax liability; and 4) line-by-line instructions for completing various sections of the form.
